Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ChatGPT Social Publisher (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) collects, uses, and protects information when you connect Meta accounts and publish content to Facebook Pages.

1. Who we are

ChatGPT Social Publisher is a publishing tool that helps users authorize Meta (Facebook) accounts and publish images to Facebook Pages they manage.

2. Information we collect

  • Account identifiers associated with your Meta authorization (such as Meta user ID).
  • Facebook Page metadata needed for publishing (Page ID, Page name, and related Page task information returned by Meta).
  • Access tokens issued by Meta (user and Page tokens). Tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are never exposed to the browser UI.
  • Publishing inputs you provide, such as image URLs and captions, when you choose to publish.
  • Basic technical logs for reliability and security (for example request paths and error codes). We do not intentionally log access tokens, app secrets, or encryption keys.

3. How we use information

  • To authenticate you with Meta via Facebook Login for Business.
  • To list Facebook Pages you can manage.
  • To publish images and captions to Pages you select.
  • To maintain security, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.

4. Meta Platform data

When you connect Facebook, we process Meta Platform data only to provide the publishing features you request. We do not sell Meta Platform data. We do not use Meta data for unrelated advertising. Page and user access tokens are used only to call Meta Graph APIs required for connection status, Page discovery, and publishing.

5. Data sharing

We share data with Meta as needed to complete OAuth and Graph API requests you initiate. We do not share your tokens or Page data with unrelated third parties for their marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

Connection and Page records are retained while your account remains connected so the Service can function. You may disconnect Facebook through the Service (or by removing the app in Meta settings), after which stored connection/Page token records can be deleted from our systems.

7. Security

Access tokens are encrypted before storage. API responses and the publisher UI are designed not to return raw tokens. Transport should use HTTPS in production deployments.

8. Your choices

  • Connect or disconnect Meta authorization.
  • Choose which Page to publish to.
  • Choose whether to publish and what content to submit.
  • Revoke app access from your Meta account settings at any time.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when revisions are published.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or data deletion requests related to this Service, contact the app operator through the contact details listed on the Meta App Dashboard for ChatGPT Social Publisher.
